Douglas has been involved with business process re-engineering, application
development and various forms of computer
consultancy since 1984. He recently did the technical editing work for
"Database Programming with C#".
He has consulted for major companies such as IBM and Oracle and has worked with
DGE, DEC, IBM and ICL mainframes and minis but is now primarily involved with
Microsoft products on the PC, linking to larger machines where necessary.
Here is a developer who carries a screwdriver with him: he never likes to feel
that a computer has got the better of him, whatever the problem!
Douglas has extensive experience with several programming languages, including
Assembler, RPG, SQL, C++, Visual Basic and C#. He performed the
Technical Review of "Database
Programming in C#" He is very interested with the Internet, web and
.NET developments, having started his own web design site in 1996. He is
the webmaster of Boost.net.
