SQLServerCE is a small footprint relational database.
It's the little brother of SQL Server, which can be deployed to various
smart devices.
At the VBUG 2003 Annual
Conference, Peter Blackburn showed how developers can
use SQLServerCE with the . NET Compact Framework. He demonstrated how to
set-up merge replication between SQLServerCE and a SQL 2000 database.
